The Star of Išhtar is a music project from Saint Petersburg, Russia.
Being a part of the dark alternative scene, the project upholds an open-minded and authentic approach. According to Dave Franklin (The Big Takeover, Dancing About Architecture), “genres and musical styles give way to feelings” in their songs, and the musicians “conjure sounds like sonic shamans”.
The Star of Išhtar consists of Ada Sargatis (vocals, songwriting, synthesizers, programming) and Andrei Ushakov (guitars, programming) featuring session musicians.
